The Tasmanian Association of Justices of the Peace Inc. was founded in April 2025 from the amalgamation of the three regional JP associations:
Honorary Justices Association of Tasmania
Honorary Justices Association of Tasmania – North-West
Tasmanian Society of Justices of the Peace
Its role is to promote, support and protect the status and interests of its members to ensure the Tasmanian legal system and the public of Tasmania are provided with highest quality JP services. The Association assists with the provision of training and advocacy services to its members to ensure confidence in the integrity of their voluntary services to the community.
The Association undertakes its roles in collaboration with the Department of Justice.
